00:00:00: And we are back, the kickback pod.

00:00:02: Back once again.

00:00:03: I'm here with my man Fobbs.

00:00:05: this is a bit of an international pod because uh i'm actually recording from North America-I mean Canada right now-Fobbs's in Berlin.

00:00:13: but that's the awesome thing about uh... I guess Zoom?

00:00:17: No no not using zoom!

00:00:18: We're using different platform Riverside.

00:00:21: But yeah thats..we still able to bring this pod for you guys.

00:00:24: so The time difference around six hours it's not too bad But yeah, I'm excited to be bringing this international pod for you.

00:00:32: In today's episode we're actually going to be breaking down everything that happened very recently at Paris Fashion Week!

00:00:39: Uh...I wasn't really expecting a podcast about it but there were so many shoes There was SO MANY new designs That every single brand is looking put out next year That i thought would definitely deserve To talk on the Pod For sure!

00:00:55: I am good and happy to be back potting again two months in a row.

00:00:59: We are literally on a roll at the moment, um, At least relative to the last six to nine months.

00:01:06: Um yeah international podsters International gangsters we're gonna be talking Paris Fashion Week

00:01:13: and

00:01:14: Before we get into that though how is it?

00:01:17: In Canada especially with a World Cup on which will talk about A little bit later Obviously canada's out already so we can talk up with.

00:01:26: Also, what's the vibe like?

00:01:29: I mean there has been games in your city.

00:01:31: There have been games across the country.

00:01:33: Are people really down with a World Cup fever?

00:01:36: Uh...I think that would be an understatement of the century.

00:01:43: I expected World Cup Fever to be big here But it is on a level i can't even explain.

00:01:49: Um..i've been going downtown to the City To watch most of the Games and The Vibe Is Unreal.

00:01:56: Every single day I get off at the main station, which is like Toronto's Grand Central.

00:02:01: Let's call it Union Station and It is just full of people with football jerseys Fans from every country doesn't matter what game on TV that night.

00:02:10: There are massive groups of fans And a really cool thing about this city organized Is this huge area called FanFest Where they're just basically, uh They have a bunch of huge TVs everywhere.

00:02:24: There's a lot of food merchants drinks.

00:02:27: So it's a nice family kind of atmosphere and Basically every day for every single game there is like A huge parade of people Of fans on that team That basically walk through the city On their way to fan fest.

00:02:42: And its actually crazy Like seeing how many People from Every Single Country Lives in The City And they're all coming out in huge numbers to watch the game.

00:02:52: So, the vibes are actually insane right now.

00:02:56: I was In Toronto for a couple of games that didn't manage To go again because tickets were sold-out and really pricey.

00:03:03: but The last goal that Ronaldo ever scored in World Cup Was scored in Toronto Because Portugal Croatia Game was in Toronto.

00:03:16: That day was easily like the city, it wasn't a fever pitch.

00:03:19: I mean there were reportedly half-a-million Portuguese fans downtown all chanting and going crazy.

00:03:28: Man yeah after that game i was at a bar And my goodness once this game ended The bar just jammed with portuguese fans.

00:03:37: Most of them are pretty happy about the result But Kroesha sorry Portugal did end up getting eliminated later on.

00:03:45: But yeah, I mean this was the reason why i wanted to come to Toronto at this time.

00:03:48: I just knew that vibes would be crazy and they've been even better.

00:03:53: like it's been awesome.

00:03:55: It doesn't surprise me or there are so many fans of different teams Even if the team isn't playing in Toronto itself because number one Toronto is a great city right?

00:04:05: So you're going to traveling North America during World Cup.

00:04:08: I think Toronto is one of cities where you want hit And B, it's I think something you've also told me several times.

00:04:15: Toronto is one of the most diverse cities in North America or even the world right?

00:04:20: In terms of like that cultural melting pot.

00:04:24: and so all these people All these fans have You know they might all be a lot of them might be Canadian but their heritage from One country Or another whatever Like all of them coming out of woodwork The communities come together must feel really good And that's kind of what the World Cup is all about.

00:04:41: Right?

00:04:41: I mean, there has been a lot especially you know recently A lot of shitty things associated with this world cup mostly thanks to one Of three hosts The host who shall not be named But from everything i've read and seen All three countries have been very welcoming hosts To everyone Or almost Everyone and the fans that have made the trip from you know other countries Other continents Have been very pleasantly surprised by how warm and open these countries.

00:05:19: These cities, these people have been And I think everybody's really just what you said.

00:05:24: Everybody who Every host city everybody Who is From That Host City Is Just Enjoying Their City Being On The Spotlight People Coming To their City Visiting Experiencing What They Know Makes Their City Great.

00:05:36: um, it's similar to like the olympics or the euros or any other big sporting Um event that kind of spans.

00:05:45: The globe in terms of the teams that participate.

00:05:47: That's that's the beauty of it right.

00:05:49: and then of course the football has been just incredible.

00:05:52: I mean you look at like the stars.

00:05:55: they're really showing out.

00:05:56: messy Has eight goals?

00:05:57: At time of recording haland has seven.

00:06:01: mbappe has seven kain i think has six Um and a couple penalties as well, which is his signature at big tournaments.

00:06:08: You've got only say on four I think damele has for us.

00:06:12: while like France looking scary Spain's defense is incredible.

00:06:16: They haven't conceded the single goal yet.

00:06:18: There's there's a lot to love in terms of just being a neutral football fan.

00:06:23: this rock up.

00:06:24: And then on the flip side there's A LOT TO HATE when your team gets eliminated Right.

00:06:30: Yeah, yeah I mean i know you're supporting germany.

00:06:33: is there any other team?

00:06:34: You were supporting.

00:06:36: at this point I just want the underdog to win.

00:06:37: so every game that I watch I want The Underdog To Win.

00:06:41: I Also Just Do Not Want England To Win.

00:06:46: That's The Most Important Thing For Me That England Does not Win.

00:06:50: I Would Love To See Like A Team like Switzerland Or Norway Get Really Far or Morocco Even Too you Know as the only African Team Left in The Competition.

00:07:00: Yeah, I was all my.

00:07:02: all three of my teams got eliminated unfortunately which is Canada Germany and Colombia As at the time with me recording a we recording this video.

00:07:13: The quarterfinals have not yet started And At this point i'm in anyone but argentina mode.

00:07:20: So so i'm gonna root for oh i don't care really any just any of the other seventeen Just not argentino.

00:07:29: I think I don't

00:07:29: know if you have been following all of these like people posting the Argentina conspiracies that FIFA is just trying to hand it to them with an easy bracket and officiating.

00:07:42: I mean, definitely there's some messy favoritism Like he should've definitely sent off in one game He should've gotten a red card.

00:07:50: Oh yeah The studs tackle?

00:07:51: Come on man That was favorite But...

00:08:00: I think a lot of it is really just conspiracies, right?

00:08:06: There's only so much that they can do to influence games when we're talking about FIFA or the referees.

00:08:13: Of course they give favoritism for one team not call fouls and yellow cards on other teams but at the end of day ball doesn't lie the team that potentially deserved it, maybe even just a smidgen more on that day wins.

00:08:35: Unless he goes to penalties and then its anybody's game I would say as we saw with Germany first ever time they lost a penalty shootout at the World Cup.

00:08:44: Yeah i know also yesterday Columbia losing to Switzerland.

00:08:47: That was sad but honestly I kind of disagree though that refs cannot really influence The outcome of the game that much because now They can almost Because of like the VA are especially they can overturn a lot of stuff Like that previously.

00:09:07: couldn't I mean watching that Egypt Argentina game.

00:09:10: I did feel like that egypt goal was like on very unfairly disallowed considering how much before The goal the foul occurred.

00:09:20: Yeah, but it was still the same phase of play right?

00:09:22: Like he fouled him and then in that attacking phase They scored.

00:09:25: so i think That Was fine.

00:09:26: What was not So cool was that The exact same thing happened when Argentina scored, but they didn't call it back.

00:09:32: I think there was a foul in the build-up as well and They deemed it to be.

00:09:37: Not afoul or you know not as Obvious of an error is the other one.

00:09:43: And yeah There your right?

00:09:45: Right like big VAR As we've seen in the Premier League.

00:09:48: has we see some of the other leagues in Europe.

00:09:51: If VR isn't used correctly then human era can really creep in and that can definitely influence again for sure.

00:10:00: Have you seen that for the upcoming France-Morocco game all five refs in the game are Argentinian?

00:10:08: Yeah, yeah.

00:10:08: I saw it and then there's conspiracies about like... There're

00:10:12: so many conspiracies right now!

00:10:15: It is also one of first times when all the rest have been from same country which i don't know if thats a quarter final thing or Because before they had like rest from four or five different countries for each game, probably to avoid such a situation that everybody's biased.

00:10:34: I don't think it will amount anything you know?

00:10:36: But let's see.

00:10:37: if France loses then we'll definitely be able- Oh

00:10:39: my god!

00:10:40: The alarm bells are gonna go off and France lose to Morocco.

00:10:43: Yeah

00:10:44: yeah yeah.

00:10:45: Let's see People

00:10:46: saying FIFA... Like people now say FIFA stands for football is Argentina.

00:10:53: That's a good one.

00:10:54: I haven't heard that one yet.

00:10:54: Um, i mean if honestly like If argentina wins like uh?

00:11:01: I don't have that much Like ill will or whatever to argentina for me just like if england won They would be so unbearable.

00:11:11: You know like their fans and the country and everything We'd have to listen to them singing.

00:11:16: it's coming home For four years straight.

00:11:20: So, for me it's like anybody but England please.

00:11:23: Well

00:11:24: at least in England Argentina final is not possible so we know its going to be one of them.

00:11:32: Yeah true true true.

00:11:33: In the final probably unless both of us get upset right?

00:11:36: Norway beats England and Switzerland beats Argentina then you've got Atleast One team that has never been on the Final.

00:11:44: That would be cool.

00:11:47: Okay, so like I said at the start we're going to be going into all this stuff.

00:11:52: We saw it Paris Fashion Week and there's actually a lot to get in too.

00:11:56: but before you do that as usual were gonna go through what we've been wearing lately.

00:12:01: So i'm Actually In Canada.

00:12:04: I'll Be Here For Most Of The Summer So I'm Only Coming Back To Berlin And Mid August And I only took three pairs of shoes with me.

00:12:12: My daily walking shoe is the Asics Gel Quantum, A-M-P.

00:12:19: The black ones just because yeah that's become my default travel shoe.

00:12:24: it's really comfortable very minimal design super easy versatile to wear any single outfit and you can put in twenty five thousand steps every day doesn't matter like.

00:12:36: it's great.

00:12:37: It is a perfect travel shoe and its been traveled tested alot by me, so there s that one!

00:12:43: And then I brought my pair of the Gats by Novesta which is the Slovakian brand and i did buy brown pair of gats from them.

00:12:53: This pair mainly just for more dressier occasions...I needed something with less casual And yeah, of course like it looks like a pair of Margellas but is not as a pair.

00:13:07: No best does.

00:13:08: It's about a fifth of the price with very very similar level of quality.

00:13:12: Its better quality for sure than adidas BW army.

00:13:16: I'm a big fan of that brand and Of course i didn't want to stop my Running practice that I've began now, and i've been keeping my streak alive.

00:13:26: Now of a number of weeks That have ran by yeah?

00:13:30: I actually joined the run club here while While i'm in toronto so i've Been going to a couple of runs And only pair shoes i brought with me is the evo sl The white pair white-and-black pair.

00:13:42: i've already.

00:13:42: Actually right before coming To toronto i picked up the evosl The ATR version, which is like the winterized version I guess.

00:13:56: It's a bit more trail running focused also i think.

00:14:00: So I haven't tried those on yet but excited to try them On!

00:14:03: Also saw that this week Adidas released A Zip Version of the Evo SL Which I want to try out and I assume probably has better stability.

00:14:15: I'm not sure if the zip functions as some kind of weather resistant Feature, but yeah.

00:14:20: I'm excited to try that.

00:14:21: they have like what?

00:14:22: five or six different versions of the Evo SL now

00:14:25: Yeah They've.

00:14:26: they've really done Kind of like when they launched The Ultra Boost in was a twenty fourteen twenty fifteen?

00:14:33: They just you know, they also had like a continental rubber kind of like trail version than they had Like the caigless one the lace this one etc.

00:14:44: etc.

00:14:44: etc.

00:14:46: i feel like there's obviously it's Very different shoe, right?

00:14:49: But similar vibes in the way that they're rolling this out and iterating on the original evo SL.

00:14:55: Yeah exactly so yeah That's pretty much.

00:14:59: The three pairs of shoes I've been wearing what about yourself?

00:15:04: i've been on a really good Nike run at the moment So II am.

00:15:08: I have been wearing the vomero Fives um the photon dust colorway Which is that like shiny metallic colorway, which I really really liked.

00:15:21: it looks.

00:15:21: Really good with

00:15:22: those as well.

00:15:24: Yeah, yeah It looks really nice for the pair of Isemi Aki omplice pants Which was kind of what i've been wearing.

00:15:31: Aswell when its not too hot here because that nylon gets sweaty When Its warm and you know What the vomero has made me realize That Like I now consider that a pretty chunky shoe When in reality, it's not really that I mean It's not.

00:15:48: It's like a Valencia at triple s right.

00:15:51: but for me i feel Like we've been conditioned and We've been so into this like narrow low profile shoe trend with the sambas especially alls of the handballs The stuff That new balance has bring been bringing out With mu-mu etc.

00:16:05: Uh, what else like the louis of her shoes?

00:16:11: What else?

00:16:12: there's just so many shoes that are like So low profile really narrow running shoes.

00:16:17: Like the nike shocks or four The martin rose ones and it's made me consider the vermeros as chunky which is weird because they're really not Um, so just a little like a weird little observation That i've had um since I've been wearing them a lot.

00:16:34: Then I've also been wearing the Nike Air Jordan, one Lowe's.

00:16:39: The Eighty-Fives those like gray ones?

00:16:42: I forget the exact colorway name but it was one Yes yes One of my favorite shoes.

00:16:48: It is just so clean Beautiful like narrow silhouette that kind of goes with every single type of pants or shorts.

00:16:56: So i've been giving those a good run and then have actually been breaking out The Pata Nike MX one waves the blue pair and also the OG that like beige, beige brown pair.

00:17:12: That came out as part of the first batch of colorways And I got to say Like that is just such a good looking shoe You know because it's a classic silhouette It's actually really comfortable.

00:17:23: and then you've got that wave mudguard.

00:17:26: it Just doesn't get old for me.

00:17:27: So i haven't been wearing those As much as the other two Because I kind of want these to last me like several years.

00:17:35: Where's the Vermeiro and the Air Jordan?

00:17:37: one low?

00:17:37: Like, i'm happy not beat them but wear them semi-regularly a few times per week.

00:17:44: so yeah that has been my rotation over past couple weeks or months.

00:17:47: just really Nike low top relatively simple colorways too if you know.

00:17:55: kinda shoes.

00:17:57: Yeah it is funny how you mentioned about the Vermero feeling chunky.

00:18:02: It's so true, I feel like we've been now conditioned by all these brands right now to just have a new meaning for what low profile means.

00:18:12: and uh i've been rocking pretty much.

00:18:14: um A lot of gazelles...a lot of superstars the some pumas sometimes..and yeah like switching from that To a pair of like asix cayano thirteenth fourteens or vermero four-vermero fives Like it does feel like you're going to wear like a dad shoe, although I don't really consider them Dad shoes compared to the more chunkier ones.

00:18:36: Like a New Balance nine-nine two for example.

00:18:38: but they kind of feel it because we've gotten used to wearing these super slim models.

00:18:46: Yeah For sure.

00:18:46: so let's move into any latest pickups?

00:18:50: It has only been two weeks since our last part.

00:18:53: So anything you picked up recently?

00:18:56: No no Sorry I haven't picked up any shoes.

00:19:01: I bought a really dope Wayne Rooney t-shirt that has not arrived yet, but it's like.

00:19:08: you know what?

00:19:08: Like those old school like nineties two thousands wrap T shirts where you had like oh like That word art name.

00:19:14: and then you have like a bunch of different like collage pictures.

00:19:17: So I got one.

00:19:18: go on in those for Wayne Roony And it's got like a picture of him as a kid like playing foreverton playing from United play for England etc.

00:19:26: And he's just like my all-time favorite player.

00:19:29: I was, you know a little, I mean still am in like World Cup fever and it's kind of like oh what can i get?

00:19:34: Like that's not a jersey because I have so many um...and then I found this online randomly and I was like oof!

00:19:41: Or grab it for thirty five euros.

00:19:43: So when it arrives I'll be sure to wear it for the next pod When we do videos so that I can show you.

00:19:49: Um but that's pretty much The only thing That I picked up.

00:19:52: What about You?

00:19:54: Yeah no thats Good that you mentioned clothing pickups, because I kind of almost forgot about some of my clothing pick ups.

00:20:01: I still am very much in World Cup fever and... ...I picked up a lot of the Nike X-II collection—the World Cup Collection….

00:20:11: …I first picked up the Jacques Mouss France short sleeve jersey with the stripes —I think it's super clean!

00:20:18: Super classy piece.

00:20:20: The Palace England grey shirt Which I think is probably the best Out of that entire x-two collection.

00:20:28: I think the palace and England stuff was probably though The dopest collab and long time

00:20:33: tracksuit top.

00:20:35: that track suit up is so good.

00:20:37: Yeah, it's mad.

00:20:38: It's mad to try the tracksuit hop.

00:20:41: i picked up also the Running Top not the running top like a warmup jacket with yeah Like the fleece one which i'm Probably gonna be using for runs.

00:20:52: So yeah, I mean i really love that collection.

00:20:54: It's great.

00:20:55: and of course like I picked up the Nocta Team Canada track jacket Uh...I had to because that jacket is just so fire.

00:21:03: And it was actually thinking about this Like- I was thinkin' bout like um The brands That won..the World Cup?

00:21:10: I Think its very clearly.

00:21:11: Nike.

00:21:12: If you look into if You Just kind Of Look at the Buzz & the Numbers Um..i'm saying that Because I feel like the XII Collection was probably the most buzz-worthy apparel drop among, amongst the giant brands.

00:21:28: And also you know if we look at World Cup commercials right like Adidas had that backyard legends six minute commercial with all those superstars in it and Nike meanwhile I believe this was called RIP the script featuring Ronaldo even LeBron.

00:21:45: for some reason LeBran and Kim K were.

00:21:48: If you go on YouTube and look at the YouTube plays, The Backyard Legends Adidas video has eight million plays.

00:21:57: And Nike RIP script on has nearly eighty million plays!

00:22:02: So I mean like just in terms of exposure.

00:22:05: it seems that people liked that one a lot more got alot more views.

00:22:10: It's...I feel like Nike kind have had a lot of buzz In tournament.

00:22:16: It's funny that you say that because I agree with You, i think the x-two collection is or was The most buzzworthy football inspired collection.

00:22:24: I think some of them were Better than others right like as you said palace Was really good.

00:22:30: jackmoo?

00:22:30: Was Really nice.

00:22:32: I didn't really Like the pata one.

00:22:33: I thought it was a little bit too out there.

00:22:34: uh...the piece minus one One was also A Little Bit difficult for me.

00:22:40: um just Because it was all over prints and stuff like That.

00:22:43: but I thought Adidas had like a few nice shoes, you know?

00:22:47: Like football inspired shoes.

00:22:48: They have the messy wearing and couple of them but nothing that was super hyped or people needed to have.

00:22:56: when it comes to the commercials though i almost have to disagree.

00:22:59: everybody that i've talked in real life has preferred adidas commercial.

00:23:03: maybe thats just my echo chamber.

00:23:05: um...i prefer the adidas one too from storytelling and cinematic point-of view Chalamet Timothy Chalme.

00:23:13: It was really great in it.

00:23:16: I thought that like backyard, like football story was really really dope.

00:23:23: and then What i do think Nike did really well Was?

00:23:27: That their entire thing was Like you could cut it down into these cut downs so well So that you can.

00:23:34: You can either watch the full six minute one or you can watch like quick Fifteen to thirty-second snippets, right?

00:23:40: Like you can watch the LeBron Ronaldo scene.

00:23:43: You can watch The Vinnie

00:23:44: Jr.'s

00:23:45: scene. You Can Watch The Holland Scene and I think that was really Really smart because it allowed them To Distribute It so well And That's Probably Why It's Got More View.

00:23:54: Because in terms of like Digestible Content Its Definitely a Better Piece Of Content or A Better Add.

00:24:03: But Personally i just you know Nostalgia wise i liked Adidas one better.

00:24:09: But you know, do feel like the athletes on the Nike side?

00:24:13: I feel those are the athletes who're getting a bit more buzz in this World Cup because maybe their teams just performing better than expected.

00:24:22: With Nike... You have Team Norway, Team England, Team France and all of their stars.

00:24:29: they've made it now to the quarters.

00:24:31: Adidas seems pretty much just have Messi- I know they have Lameen Yamal as well but he's not really done anything Whereas the other like if you look at the prime performers in The World Cup most of them seem to be Nike athletes as well.

00:24:46: Yeah, that's true.

00:24:47: That's a good point.

00:24:47: Um yeah I think definitely...I don't know how much that matters anymore Or maybe it just also people have been talking about.

00:25:01: It's not something thats really come up In conversation but i'm sure that the people at Nike are pointing Bappé, Haaland whoever else and they're saying not only Bellingham.

00:25:14: No bellingham's Adidas

00:25:16: But but team England is a Nike team though.

00:25:19: Yeah yeah right?

00:25:19: I think you have to like distinguish between the teams.

00:25:21: so that'll be looking at like.

00:25:22: England will be okay in England soon blah blah blah.

00:25:25: But like the brands we'll be also with their players.

00:25:27: And um i guess for Nike it would be someone like Rashford or Cain is with Skechers, which was weird.

00:25:39: I saw some Skechars ads Skechors billboards here in Toronto with Kane on it.

00:25:43: I was surprised.

00:25:43: now

00:25:44: No But I think definitely your own or something like the brands will definitely be looking at this and pointing out Like oh art our teams are going further.

00:25:51: Our players they're scoring more goals or having a bigger impact Obviously messy as still like these storyline right?

00:25:57: With how many goals he scored.

00:26:00: Argentina scraping by round after around these dramatic victories, you know him crying at the end of the game.

00:26:07: So that might outweigh like the collective effort of all the Nike stars.

00:26:11: But let's see.

00:26:12: I mean time will tell we still got a lot of games left And as we've said it's been brilliant World Cup on lots of levels performance wise culturally but also from our marketing point-of-view.

00:26:24: so It's been very interesting to watch with different lenses on for sure.

00:26:29: Yeah, okay.

00:26:31: Right before we go into Paris Fashion Week going in to the quarters Do you have a prediction of who's gonna win?

00:26:40: Just give me the finals Give me the final The teams and the finals end up at the final score.

00:26:45: All

00:26:47: right I'm gonna say Argentina France again And France two-win Two one after extra time

00:26:59: Man that's like That's pretty much my prediction too.

00:27:04: Do great minds, great minds!

00:27:07: Yeah I mean maybe not two-one.

00:27:09: i was thinking like three one France but yeah...I also think it is going to be France.

00:27:16: they're just a dream team.

00:27:18: They

00:27:19: are just too strong..i think if Spain were on the other side of the bracket it would be France and Spain in the final.

00:27:26: All

00:27:28: right, let's go into the Paris Fashion Week highlights.

00:27:30: There is lots to talk about here.

00:27:33: We are going to be talking about previews of all of the brands that showcase themselves at Paris fashion week and we're gonna start off with an unexpected one And that is

00:27:42: Crocs.

00:27:44: So the reason we're talking about crocs Is because a very familiar face is now one of the main designers over there?

00:27:51: That is Steven Smith Which you guys might remember from Yeezy brand.

00:27:56: he designed A lot of the dad silhouettes like a seven hundred v one.

00:28:01: He is the self-proclaimed Godfather Of Dad shoes.

00:28:05: actually shout out to hey, dude and Steven Smith who?

00:28:09: A couple weeks ago sent me that's Stephen Smith designed shoe from Hey Dude Which I actually did end up giving two my dad to wear And he has been loving it.

00:28:20: But at Paris fashion week they showed their first collab together which is, what's the name of this shoe?

00:28:29: I believe it has been called The Ripple.

00:28:37: There you go!

00:28:45: It looks like something that Kanye would have definitely put out himself right?

00:28:49: Like he gives foam runner vibes in a way But with a more like Louder design, With all these ripples All over the shoe.

00:28:59: I think it's one of The coolest looking pairs Of crocs we've seen in A very long time.

00:29:06: Personally i love It!

00:29:08: Its like foam runner two point.

00:29:09: oh or Foam Runner three point Oh?

00:29:11: I don't know.

00:29:12: I forgot how many Foam Runners there were.

00:29:13: I Think There was only One actually but These are pretty fire to me.

00:29:17: well What do you think?

00:29:19: yeah theres a lot of cool stuff coming out.

00:29:21: I mean he is Like Yeah, whatever they're called the ripple.

00:29:25: then you've got the Roy as well Which looks kind of like your wearing a puffer jacket on your feet.

00:29:30: I think his official title is The head of innovation and he's really been innovating And I think Crocs for a long time has been very very open to pushing the boundaries and trying new things and going beyond just Classic clog which is obviously their best-selling silhouette and what they're known for.

00:29:56: And They're doing exactly the right thing.

00:29:58: They're hiding in the right people Not just even Smith.

00:30:02: But there's a designer there that used to be I think at Reebok.

00:30:07: his name is Ryan Forsythe, I believe it was this last name and he's been.

00:30:12: i mean check him on Instagram or non social media.

00:30:16: He's An incredibly talented designer and he's been doing some really, really great stuff.

00:30:23: Designer or product line manager I forget exactly what is going but it's a really cool stuff there.

00:30:29: so Stephen Smith is an absolute legend right?

00:30:34: He designed A bunch of incredibly iconic shoes The New Balance fifteen hundred the new balance five seven four the Instapump Fury from Reebok, um... The Nike Air Zoom Spirit on Cage II.

00:30:52: He's worked everywhere right?

00:30:54: And then he was brought in too easy because that what Kanye does!

00:30:59: He brings the best of the best form all over In whatever field is working with it music design fashion and he lets them cook and Stephen Smith cooked and Steven Smith still cooking at Crocs.

00:31:13: And I think we'll be talking about Crocs a lot more on the pod going into twenty-twenty seven, especially when these start dropping in spring summer.

00:31:22: Twenty seven because yeah it's a brand that really trying to change the way its perceived which is not always easy because you need balance like legacy core target audience with newer cooler taste maker audience and a lot of times those clash.

00:31:44: And maybe they turn each other off a little bit too, because you know like somebody who's wearing crocs clogs says Like what's Crocs doing with all these weird shoes?

00:31:52: But then someone else is saying why would I wear these shoes?

00:31:55: Because i don't want to wear the same brand as The random dad mowing his lawn right.

00:31:59: um but it-I mean It's interesting!

00:32:01: I think They're doing really cool work and its also Cool that we are now talking about them within the context Of Paris Fashion Week.

00:32:11: Yeah, I can remember the last time Crocs was featured so much on Paris Fashion Week.

00:32:16: But if you look at these two models that you spoke of it's with that Steven Smith design.

00:32:20: The ripple and Though what is a call?

00:32:24: other one called

00:32:25: Roy?

00:32:25: I think the Roy

00:32:26: Roy yeah the Roy.

00:32:28: So both we shoes actually already out And from what I can tell on crocs they are sold-out in all colorways still available on some others sites And there's gonna be new colorways dropping out a dropping later this month as well.

00:32:42: Yeah, I'm actually really intrigued to try one of these and it's the first pair of crocs i can Actually say that about and That's because they don't look like your average Crocs you know?

00:32:52: They do Look Like Wow.

00:32:54: Crocs is Really Trying To Do Something Different Here and I mean Of Course man Stephen Smith Steven Smith yeah Pretty pretty much A Legend in This Sneaker Game and Love What he's Doing here.

00:33:06: Let's talk about Nike now, because I'm really excited to talk about NIKE.

00:33:11: So looking through Nike collection here for Paris Fashion Week...I am very shocked to see the direction they're going in next year for twenty-twenty seven.

00:33:22: Because taking some of their most beloved models like we have Air Force One We got other models The Goa Dome also, and the Air Max-Ninety as well.

00:33:38: And they're pretty much completely redesigning them... ...the shape of materials being used.

00:33:45: So for example on the Air Force One They've given it a square toe with and changed mudguard to look like flames Which is crazy.

00:33:56: I never expected Nike do something that way.

00:34:00: I also see a plaid version of the Air Force One, but once again with square toe.

00:34:07: And you can say probably they took some design inspiration here from Martin Rose With this kind of air force one and it definitely caused A big noise online like for the sneaker community when they saw This.

00:34:22: yeah Also It seems Like They're putting out quite a bit of ballet shoes as well with huge Nike swooshes on there And and also some models that seem like they're catered towards women with these interesting, like heels on there Which oh yeah.

00:34:38: I mean They definitely don't look like male male model shoes And it seems like they are going a bit heavier into the sneaker loafer trend.

00:34:48: We have this air max looking sneakers.

00:34:50: It does has an air bubble but at the front is a loaffer maroon, there's another one in crocodile leather.

00:34:59: And yeah these look kind of crazy like.

00:35:02: I'm actually very intrigued to try this out.

00:35:07: some other things they're doing so on the Air Max ninety seven.

00:35:11: i see that they have a laceless version here which is done with green apple color pretty bright green.

00:35:20: That might be some kind of collab.

00:35:22: and then similarly on the air max ninety as well There is a version dropping which seems to be like it looks some kind of puffing, puffer type material on the upper and another very radical looking Air Force One.

00:35:37: Which kinda looks one of those thermal imagings...on the upper.

00:35:44: And then there's this crazy-looking pair of the air goadomes as well that look like a Batmobile.

00:35:51: It's a black pair.

00:35:52: So I mean wow This is kind of like totally out there in terms of design language from Nike.

00:36:00: Any thoughts on their... ...of twenty-twenty seven collection?

00:36:06: Yeah, I mean a lot of these have got to be collaborations i feel especially those loafers.

00:36:12: they look very cool.

00:36:14: They looked like a ninety five sole unit at least that the heel and then this wrapped leather loafer Whatever it is.

00:36:24: Um, It's almost like a healed loafer.

00:36:26: its um notes Is very different to what I would have expected from Nike.

00:36:31: obviously And we'll talk about this in the few minutes Nike is still gonna Have his heritage releases right?

00:36:39: It's going to have these same shoes that We always get though The air max line and the Jordan line the Air whatever lie on their force ones Etc anything That's like Heritage iconic will still be coming out in different iterations.

00:36:54: I mean every single year there's some sort of anniversary for multiple Air Jordan, right like.

00:37:03: So don't worry if you're thinking Nike is going totally off.

00:37:07: You know an unbeaten path But this is showing that you know.

00:37:11: as you said Nike is really trying to push the envelope and figure out What they can do to set themselves up because it's no secret that Nike has not performed well as a company with falling profits struggling in China, struggling and other overseas territories.

00:37:32: Falling sales And They've really got to buck up their ideas and maybe this is right.

00:37:38: I think Their latest CEO joined what was like eighteen months ago two years ago?

00:37:45: Oftentimes it does take around eighteen months to reverse fortunes, especially with supply lines and supply chains.

00:37:53: It just takes a while too.

00:37:55: get people in at the right positions design new stuff Get it approved get it produced get its shipped get it sold Get it bought by retailers.

00:38:06: You know what I mean?

00:38:06: Especially if you're introducing new things.

00:38:08: So it does Take awhile And this could be The first wave of Nike's attempt To write the ship.

00:38:14: Whether it works remains to be seen.

00:38:17: I think It's different enough.

00:38:18: that has a good chance, but um i Think time will tell and they'll Be super super interesting To follow this into.

00:38:23: see That you know.

00:38:24: See whether people resonate with these designs.

00:38:26: do They sell out?

00:38:27: Do they?

00:38:29: Um Pair some of These shoes With really cool collaborators to create hype.

00:38:34: Are the general releases?

00:38:36: are People actually wearing them on the street.

00:38:38: I mean, these are all questions that we can't answer now.

00:38:40: We can only answer after we've seen these shoes come out and And how people respond to them?

00:38:46: But that's the beauty of Paris Fashion Week.

00:38:48: That's the Beauty Of The fashion industry.

00:38:51: you know it's All projections predictions estimations And then You just have To wait and see.

00:38:57: and i guess that's what we Have to do.

00:39:00: yeah for sure For Sure It.

00:39:02: he has been at the helm Now for Yeah Eighteen Months.

00:39:06: The World Cup, I would say is probably his first really big project that he's worked on.

00:39:11: And so far at least i feel like they've gotten pretty good momentum with the world cup.

00:39:16: it's not really translated to their share price yet but...I mean They're just too big to fall any further.

00:39:26: yeah..i'm interested in seeing some of these actually release and want to try some models myself.

00:39:34: I have to give you credit for one thing though.

00:39:35: You did make a prediction, i don't know when but you made a prediction that the air rift would be uh... Would Have A Comeback and it seems like That's The Case.

00:39:46: It Seems Like Its Been An Air Rift Summer Especially Among Women.

00:39:51: Uh..It's Been One Of The Most Popular Selling Shoes By Nike And They Keep Dropping Many Different Colorways.

00:39:55: Uh..Collapse Different Versions of That Shoe.

00:39:58: But I would say you know, your-you've been like the trendsetter for...for The Air Rift.

00:40:03: Oh

00:40:03: For sure!

00:40:04: I bet you someone somewhere at Nike saw me wearing them and was like we need to bring these back.

00:40:10: Yeah Speaking of Nike We're gonna talk a little bit about the Jordan collabs that i mentioned.

00:40:15: So we got Awake New York And think they hosted A basketball tournament Correct Me If Im Wrong At Paris Fashion Week To debut their new shoes.

00:40:28: Yeah, so they have what is it like?

00:40:30: a couple of colorways?

00:40:31: Of the sixes.

00:40:34: They are Relatively out there in design and color.

00:40:40: There kind of like splits They've got awake New York branding on the heel one of the pairs is pink And just like right

00:40:49: pink

00:40:49: bright pink on the hill than this dusty pink everywhere else with red-and-black accents.

00:40:55: I'm gonna be honest I have never been a fan of The Six.

00:41:00: It's not great looking shoe, but I can appreciate the art and thought behind this collaboration because I do think Angel Abak and the Awake New York team does some really dope shit... it is just not for

00:41:14: me.

00:41:14: Yeah!

00:41:16: I feel about The Sixes in the exact same way mainly due to other models that are translated well into lifestyle.

00:41:24: I think they work well as lifestyle shoes like Jordan one or Jordan three of four.

00:41:31: i feel Like the six and seven in eight, They just look so much like basketball performance models which is what they were supposed to be In The first place.

00:41:40: So i can't see myself you know wearing them with an outfit like uh...they Just Look too Much like basketball Shoes To me.

00:41:47: but yeah this One the colorway Is Cool, like I mean it's interesting.

00:41:51: A lot of people are hyped about it.

00:41:53: i've seen a lot of buzz for this shoe.

00:41:55: uh...I think there was another pair already right?

00:41:57: Of the Awake Jordan six that released.

00:42:01: There is blue and black pair.

00:42:03: Oh

00:42:03: no!

00:42:03: That wasn't a sixth..that was a five.

00:42:06: Yeah they had-the fives were nice because They have some cool detail but theres a Blue & Black pair as well Which personally looks better But its still a six.

00:42:15: so im not a huge fan.

00:42:16: The heel is black And it's almost like an infrared that has had a baby blue slapped on the toe box and side panels.

00:42:25: Yeah, I've seen these...

00:42:28: Not my favorite collaboration but i'm sure there are people who will be into them.

00:42:33: so let see when they drop how much they cost if sell out!

00:42:38: Then was also free-the-youth Nike Air Jordan XVI collaboration which im gonna honest I'm also not feeling, but it's mostly because the Air Drone XVI is just so retro-futuristic and its one of those shoes that like... It came out Just after he retired.

00:42:56: He never really played in them.

00:43:00: Yeah All again!

00:43:01: Just not for me.

00:43:03: Its man..its such a weird looking model.

00:43:07: I can't lie.

00:43:07: The XVI.

00:43:08: And if you put this all over chrome silver finish on It looks even more weird.

00:43:17: Like this shoe, I don't look at it and think that they're for the public.

00:43:22: you know like to me This looks like a movie prop or something?

00:43:25: Like this looks like some thing.

00:43:26: You know Robocop maybe should be wearing like its.

00:43:29: yeah just such an outrageous looking shoe.

00:43:32: But yeah mean those are over-the-main Shoes from Jordan Rand we saw but i think The brand probably had most buzzed at Paris Fashion Week At least in my opinion was Adidas.

00:43:45: Adidas had absolutely insane collabs, a lot of not just sneakers but a lot apparel collabs as well that were showcased on the runway we can start off with.

00:43:58: there is one by believe Jaja Green.

00:44:02: I don't know much about Jaja green like.

00:44:04: are they some kind of Jamaican label or streetwear label?

00:44:08: I honestly I've never heard of them before, to be honest.

00:44:13: Before this Fashion Week.

00:44:14: but they have done some nice stuff.

00:44:16: like if you look at the shoes that are going to do with Adidas it's... There is one F-Fifty type shoe right?

00:44:23: Like very football inspired.

00:44:24: then there has the... Is it the Adi Star control?

00:44:29: or yeah The Five which was really nice Very two thousands runner aesthetic Which again coming back in a big way and adidas had lot these really nice shoes.

00:44:40: so Yeah, I mean just we'll put the links into show notes.

00:44:48: But Jar Jar Green has a really nice collab with Adidas and it shows that Adidas is like now really branching out kind of maybe taking a leaf-out-of-new bounces book in collaborating with collectors or people with creatives who are not the most mainstream.

00:45:04: targeting specific communities and niche audiences build authenticity in the community, In my opinion.

00:45:14: Yeah.

00:45:15: and similarly another collab they showcased was with Spider The brand started by the rapper Young Thug.

00:45:22: This is already their second pair that put out together after a very successful pair of Superstars And this time I believe it's also the F-Fifty Formation.

00:45:37: It has an all silver pair which honestly looks pretty nice.

00:45:43: Why does silver seem to be the most popular color on collabs right now?

00:45:48: I feel like i keep seeing everywhere these chromed-out shoes and a minted new york draped along with soccany, Which uh... which instantly sold out.

00:45:56: but yeah..I Like These pairs!

00:45:59: But I would say that one that really got everyone talking was Rick Owens.

00:46:05: Rick Owens and Adidas, they're not strangers to each other.

00:46:09: They've been...they had been collabing for several years together but the last time they did anything together was twenty seventeen.

00:46:17: And now at this past Fashion Week unexpectedly Rick Owans showcased an entire collection with Adidas.

00:46:25: The shoes there were.

00:46:26: I mean There was only one pair of shoes in in the collab and it seems to be a model that is a new model like, its not some kind of existing model.

00:46:35: It might be the Adidas Spring Blade but it looks basically like a football shoe with a lot...it's kinda giving me Nike Sharks vibes anyway.

00:46:48: But also I've never really seen an outsole that look like this.

00:46:51: i'm not sure what model this is..but Its pretty out there!

00:46:55: What made even more noise was the apparel drop Because there was.

00:47:00: it happened to be also one of the hottest weeks ever in The history of Paris during Paris Fashion Week and Rick Owens, Of course showcases all of these jackets.

00:47:10: These super puffy jackets that had built-in cooling In them.

00:47:15: so It looks like these jackets actually have some type of Adidas fan in them Which is keeping?

00:47:22: The person wearing it really nice And cool.

00:47:24: So I'm sure people wanted a buy these right then & There But that's uh, that's pretty cool.

00:47:29: I thought these jackets were a pretty sick pretty unique.

00:47:31: Um i don't know if i'd ever wear something like that because they're so puffy but Uh, but it's cool.

00:47:37: i'm really happy to see rick owens and adidas come back together.

00:47:41: Do you have any thoughts on this collab?

00:47:43: Yeah, i mean It's it's a legendary link up.

00:47:46: You know Back when They were collaborating with raft simmons rick oans um i think there was a third one That that adidas is doing a lot With.

00:47:56: You had, you know Very very very Rick Owens shoes.

00:48:00: one of them was the spring blade.

00:48:02: I think this is like an iteration Of that.

00:48:04: um i remember i Was so into rick owens adidas but i could never afford it and i Could Never justify paying The price for It.

00:48:13: Um But i just i loved how Like adidas let rick Owens Just do his thing.

00:48:21: And really His aesthetic which Is a very unique specific aesthetic shown through and we're seeing that again.

00:48:28: So it's a link up of old friends, of old collaborators And I think there is going to be lot people who will resonate with so Super super smart move from Adidas in my opinion.

00:48:40: Yeah for sure Rick Is super relevant still You know like uh...and i think It adds alot of clout To adidas once again That they are collabing With Rick Another sub brand of Adidas that has been around forever, and I feel like they've just almost go unnoticed these days.

00:49:00: And that's Y-three with the Yoji Yamamoto.

00:49:05: So the reason i'm bringing this up is because I think The y three collection That was showcased at Paris Fashion Week This year Was probably one Of These strongest ever some really Really interesting looking shoes.

00:49:18: I don't even know what the names of these shoes are, because i don't recognize the models.

00:49:24: But yeah there's this one really nice translucent one which has like these ridges at the bottom.

00:49:32: it kind of reminds me of that Sakai LDV waffle with Nike in a way but its so nice super clean pair.

00:49:42: There is also a pair of Adidas superstars That have steel toe Definitely giving some like punk rock vibes there and also a very interesting take on the stan smiths.

00:49:54: once again We're seeing these square toes.

00:49:57: I don't know why everyone's so into square toes nowadays, but Why three has given to Stan Smith?

00:50:02: A square toe And that's a pretty interesting looking model as well.

00:50:07: So yeah it comes in black and white.

00:50:10: Yeah lots of really really cool stuff by Y-three.

00:50:12: any thoughts on this one?

00:50:14: i mean just that y-three is been in my opinion, very underrated for a long time.

00:50:19: I think they make some really cool fashion forward-very Japanese inspired iterations of Adidas shoes.

00:50:29: Personally i was always a huge kasa or...I don't know how to pronounce it the Kwasa fan The racer..the high tops yeah and its great Yoji.

00:50:44: and Adidas going strong.

00:50:45: I know there's been a few linkups recently with like the the room Madrid jersey supposed to come back that iconic y-three Real Madrid Jersey, um those f-fifty sneakers and boots actually came back.

00:50:58: The Y three version of like what?

00:50:59: Three animals printed on them.

00:51:01: so Yeah, I mean.

00:51:04: I love it.

00:51:04: It's just showing that Adidas really knows what it's doing across the board is doing a lot of very different things for a lot Of very different people and that's exactly what will bring the brand success?

00:51:15: I think

00:51:16: yeah For sure for sure.

00:51:18: Moving gears now to maybe hit the most hype Brand right now in sneakers very unexpectedly And that's actually vans.

00:51:28: So Vans made a lot of noise this Paris Fashion Week.

00:51:34: And that was not even because of Vans, it's because Louis Vuitton.

00:51:39: Pharrell showcased in new Louis Vuiton shoe which definitely looks like it was biting Vans bit.

00:51:48: It looked one of the I believe the Vans authentic.

00:51:52: and yeah That is kind crazy Cement just how popular Vans is at this current moment.

00:52:01: It's having definitely a moment right now.

00:52:03: A lot of their pairs are selling out.

00:52:05: it seems to be Right now.

00:52:08: if you look at the sneaker verse, it's probably The most well-received brand right?

00:52:13: Now but yeah, it isn't interesting To see Louis Vuitton go in this direction doesn't mean that we're gonna start seeing like skateboarding shoes Be the most like in demand type of look in the next year or so, it was also funny to see Vans respond to Pharrell and Louis Vuitton with like a little tongue-in-cheek post on Instagram pretty much showing that they did at first.

00:52:39: And then Louis Vuotton was biting them.

00:52:42: What were your initial thoughts when you saw that Pharrelle pair?

00:52:48: I thought he made sense because last few seasons He's always picked one other brand Elevate in a Louis Vuitton way.

00:53:00: It was very I mean it's the very simple shoe, right?

00:53:03: So like all they could really do is just make them materials better Because this is not like the soul as better quality.

00:53:08: I think Vans souls are actually really good quality especially if you're a skater.

00:53:13: But I think it does underline what he said that vans is hype again.

00:53:17: And over the last few years vans has gone from a brand That was like purely doing license collaborations, right so like licensing big musical artists or whatever and slapping their logo on a vans.

00:53:31: And then trying to sell it, right?

00:53:33: They're now really I think putting a lot more conscious design an effort into the shoes.

00:53:40: as you can see online if you scroll through any of these social media or blogs that have done around up with the van.

00:53:46: shoes are coming at us in twenty-twenty seven.

00:53:49: there's A lot like very untrend things like studs bejeweled Vans camouflage chunky vans, slimmer vans.

00:54:01: So personally like I'm not someone who's gonna wear a Vans because they just...I find them very uncomfortable and they hurt my feet doesn't matter what model.

00:54:10: but i can appreciate that Vans is really putting effort into being cooler or cooler again.

00:54:16: And um..i know people That love the brand have always loved the brand Have always worn their brand.

00:54:22: They will really appreciate having some dope designs to pick from And there'll be a lot of people that jump on the hype bandwagon as is usually the case, which is okay.

00:54:31: They will start wearing vans.

00:54:32: so you're probably going to see more vans in the next twelve-to eighteen months and we've talked about it before but don't have to get into today.

00:54:41: It's just part of diversity within sneaker culture.

00:54:46: There are many brands popping off doing cool things.

00:54:49: You can see different kinds being worn around the city that you live in.

00:54:55: So yeah, I'm excited for it!

00:54:59: I love it.

00:55:00: Yeah...for sure me too Me Too..I am really planning to pick up a bunch of these.

00:55:06: everything thats releasing next year especially i like this.

00:55:11: It looks something out of Bottega Veneta.

00:55:14: It Looks Like A Bottego Veneta Collab To Be Honest With This All Over Braided Like, I forget what Bottega calls this pattern.

00:55:23: Inter-Lago or something?

00:55:25: Or... Something like that.

00:55:26: Yeah you mean the Dover Street Market ones

00:55:29: right?

00:55:29: yeah The Dover street market one's look crazy definitely looking to pick it up.

00:55:35: Vans looks.

00:55:36: they're just not stopping with innovation and i think we can safely call them probably most hype brand in sneakers.

00:55:45: who would have thought Yeah, a couple more brands we want.

00:55:48: Oh sorry were you saying something?

00:55:50: No I was just saying not me like.

00:55:51: i definitely didn't think that.

00:55:54: yeah of course not.

00:55:55: Ofcourse Speaking of A few More Brands Now That Before We Close This Out There's Reebok.

00:56:04: Reebok Also Had A Showcase At Paris Fashion Week and theirs Was Interesting Because I'm Very Impressed With Their Color Palettes Selections.

00:56:14: They went for some super bold patterns, some super-bold colors their season.

00:56:23: Also what's notable is how they've kind of gone with this mule design quite a lot... ...they have taken some existing models like the Premier Road Modern and chopped top off.. ..and put them out as mules instead putting some super loud colors on one another.

00:56:42: I like this model, the Reebok Premier Road Modern.

00:56:45: And i'm looking forward to trying them out as a mule.

00:56:48: but just in general... ...I give props for Reebok being super bold with some of their selections next year!

00:56:56: I am not sure what brand is trying position itself now.

00:57:03: When you look at what Reebok or bread and butter are still mainly selling the club seas this part of the brand, there seemed like they're going for that high fashion type of look or that type of customer.

00:57:17: So I mean it's an interesting strategy but... This is right up my alley though!

00:57:22: i've already picked up a pair of Reebok Premier Road moderns and I would definitely wear one of these.

00:57:29: Yeah..I think It's very similar to what we said about Alidas About Vans But some other brands over last few years as well.

00:57:39: They really They're riding their own lane, you know they've got the club see.

00:57:44: They've got their classics which they know You know a certain type of consumer is gonna buy regardless right like there's people who only wear club sees.

00:57:51: but then they have these more fashion forward shoes Like the loafers the premier road modern or whatever it's called and Those are shoes that you know Are very interesting?

00:58:06: Very cool really techie.

00:58:08: But then I think that actually Reebok has some of the nicest color palettes in the industry.

00:58:17: A few years ago, people said about Solomon because the Solomon XC-IV and XC VI always had beautiful colors different fresh colors.

00:58:25: but if you scroll through Instagram or TikTok looking at what Reebok is bringing out It's incredible that like the colors they've put together on one shoe and it just works, you know?

00:58:39: And its both bolded and muted at the same time.

00:58:44: So whoever is choosing these colours in their materials or Reebok I mean had off to you because That's my favourite part about this.

00:58:51: shoes The colours are so beautiful.

00:58:55: Yeah...I wouldn't be shocked if Kiko Kostadovna designed them.

00:59:01: How were even coming up with those colour these colors going together like that.

00:59:06: And, Like you said they're not scaring me from wearing them just because They somehow look muted even though it's a lot of crazy colors.

00:59:16: One last brand we wanted to talk about is Soccany.

00:59:19: Soccani had an entire display as well at Paris Fashion Week And yeah, I have to mention them because there are a couple pairs here that look just incredible.

00:59:29: To me especially this one which is called the omakaze.

00:59:33: Which how was this?

00:59:34: not some type of collab?

00:59:35: Because these shoes Look absolutely gorgeous.

00:59:38: i mean The patterns on them.

00:59:41: It has That you know like that sashiko style pattern.

00:59:46: If You told Me These Are Like A Capital Collab Or Something I Would Have Believed You Because Yeah The Patterns Are Crazy The Material Choices the different, it looks like a patchwork type of model.

00:59:57: This is definitely one of the nicest Soccanis I think i've ever seen and that would love to cop them as soon as they release but It's only gonna be a twenty-twenty seven release.

01:00:07: also the wrapper west side gun.

01:00:10: He's now one of the creatives over at Sakini and he has been I believe his shoe, His first collab is gonna be dropping.

01:00:19: I just don't have a picture what it looks like.

01:00:22: i'll try to find It And leave a link or put it up on The screen.

01:00:27: yeah this One This one from Westside Gunn.

01:00:31: Im A Big Fan Of Him As A Rapper So I'm Looking Forward To His Shoe His First Collab as Well.

01:00:36: Any Final Thoughts?

01:00:37: Fabs On Sakini.

01:00:40: Sockney's been dope for like over a year now.

01:00:43: Um, so it doesn't surprise me that they're coming out with a lot of colorways and similar to uh To Reebok They really staying in their own lane.

01:00:49: And there their lane is just ultra colorful ultra bright and again In a very different way to Reebok its colors where you're like damn.

01:00:58: How do these work together?

01:01:00: We sell a lot on them at Zalando and um the Omni grid nine For example is just a very solid two-thousands era runner.

01:01:08: It's comfortable, it's sporty and sleek but also not one hundred percent performant.

01:01:15: so looking... And then they slap some colors on there where you're like damn.

01:01:19: these look good!

01:01:22: You can pick anything that you want.

01:01:23: You could pick ones which are bright and will stand out or monochrome such as white grey black brown.

01:01:31: So in this sense There's something for everybody there.

01:01:35: And, For anyone who runs a lot and runs in Sockney you'll know that Socknee shoes are some of the most comfortable shoes out there right?

01:01:43: so I think Regardless what model you get You're almost guaranteed to have A very comfortable ride or Very comfortable shoe all day long Which i Think is still one Of The Most Important Things.

01:01:55: To Sneaker Heads.

01:01:56: Comfort Wearability Just sum it up.

01:02:01: I mean, Sockney's doing dope shit.

01:02:02: they have been for twelve months.

01:02:03: i'm not surprised but i'm loving that.

01:02:06: yeah For sure.

01:02:07: also their running stuff.

01:02:08: you know there are collabs with minted.

01:02:11: They've already done a few of them and they're going crazy as well.

01:02:15: Yeah so definitely from like casual sneakerhead point of view lots to be excited about From this year fashion week.
